We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join a growing multispecialty medical group serving patients across the New York City and Westchester area.

This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive care for hand, wrist, and upper-extremity conditions, including occupational injuries, motor vehicle injuries, and pain-related cases.

You’ll work alongside physicians, specialists, physician assistants, therapists, and clinical staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care focused on restoring function and improving quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Surgical Care

• Evaluate and diagnose hand, wrist, and upper-extremity conditions and injuries.
• Perform appropriate surgical and non-surgical procedures.
• Review medical histories, diagnostic testing, and imaging.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's needs.
• Provide post-operative and ongoing follow-up care.
• Monitor patient progress and functional recovery.

Patient Care & Education

• Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment options, and procedures.
• Address patient questions and concerns throughout the course of care.
• Educate patients regarding treatment plans, recovery, and available alternatives.
• Maintain a compassionate and patient-centered approach.

Collaboration & Care Coordination

• Work closely with physicians, specialists, PAs, therapists, and other clinical professionals.
• Coordinate treatment plans with other treating providers.
• Collaborate with administrative and clinical teams regarding documentation, scheduling, and care coordination.
• Supervise Medical Assistants and Physician Assistants as appropriate.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, procedures, and medications.
• Follow organizational policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Prescribe, administer, and dispense medications within applicable regulations.
• Maintain compliance with Workers' Compensation and No-Fault requirements.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Active New York State medical license.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Fellowship training in Hand Surgery preferred or required based on practice needs.
• 5+ years of clinical experience preferred.
• Experience treating work-related and motor vehicle injuries preferred.
• Workers' Compensation Board authorization.
• Knowledge of New York Workers' Compensation and No-Fault regulations.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Willingness to travel between New York City-area locations.
