• Iowa Medical Center is seeking a Locum Orthopedic Surgeon for March & April coverage
• Hospital-based orthopedic surgery with clinic, OR, and trauma responsibilities
• Candidate must be able to cover both required date blocks
• Hospital-based orthopedic surgery with clinic, OR, and trauma responsibilities
• Candidate must be able to cover both required date blocks
Job Responsibilities
• Manage trauma cases, fracture care, and sports medicine cases
• Inpatient rounding on post-op patients
• ED and inpatient orthopedic consults
• Participate in orthopedic call coverage
• Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
Qualifications
• Active Iowa License or IMLC (Required)
• Clean malpractice and background history
• NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days)
• Ability to perform full scope of orthopedic procedures listed
Working Hours
• On Call: Yes (24-hour call with follow-up clinic)
