We are seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon for a permanent position in Roanoke Rapids, NC. This is an opportunity to join an established, multi-provider orthopedic practice with a focus on Total Joint Arthroplasty serving a growing regional healthcare system. Please see below for more information.
- Part of a growing 9-hospital, physician-led healthcare system
- Established practice with 3 surgeons and 4 advanced practice providers
- Designated orthopedic and arthroplasty floor with a structured joint arthroplasty program
- On-site radiology and physical therapy support; co-located rehab department with 7 therapists, 5 therapy assistants, and an in-ground therapy pool
- Built-in referral network with full specialty support including cardiology, nephrology, general surgery, urology, critical care, and wound care
- Shared call structure
- Opportunity available due to physician retirement
Job Responsibilities
Provide both inpatient surgical and outpatient clinic-based care
Participate in shared call coverage with the existing orthopedic team
Collaborate with orthopedic trauma team and subspecialty colleagues across the health system
Engage with on-site physical therapy and rehab teams to support patient recovery
Qualifications
Active North Carolina medical license or ability to obtain
DEA license required
BLS certification required
Working Hours
Shared call rotation
