Total Joints Orthopedic Surgeon

Wellstar Health System – New Hospital | Columbia County, GA

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Total Joint Replacement to join our growing musculoskeletal service line at our brand-new hospital in Columbia County, Georgia. This is a unique opportunity to help build and shape a high-quality total joints program from the ground up within one of Georgia’s most respected integrated health systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality primary and revision total hip and knee arthroplasty

  • Participate in the development and growth of the total joints service line

  • Collaborate with anesthesia, nursing, physical therapy, and care coordination teams to optimize patient outcomes

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient orthopedic care

  • Participate in call coverage as assigned

  • Maintain high standards of clinical quality, patient safety, and patient satisfaction

  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and service line development

Qualifications

  • MD or DO

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery

  • Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction / Total Joints preferred

  • Eligible for or currently licensed to practice in the state of Georgia

  • Strong clinical skills with a patient-centered approach

  • Interest in program building and long-term community engagement
