ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY

POSITION SUMMARY
The Department seeks an oral and maxillofacial surgeon to join a full-scope, hospital-based practice supported by multiple surgeons, advanced practice professionals, and clinical staff. The role includes operative and clinic responsibilities across inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory surgical settings. The position supports a growing service line with opportunities for subspecialty development and participation in resident education.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
• Training or experience in oral and maxillofacial surgical care.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Illinois.
• Interest in resident education and academic involvement.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary surgical environment.
COMPETENCIES
• Skill in managing full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgical conditions.
• Ability to participate in trauma coverage within a coordinated system.
• Effective communication with surgical colleagues, residents, and clinical staff.
• Commitment to high-quality perioperative and outpatient care.
• Capacity to support program growth and subspecialty development.
WORK SETTING & ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment: Hospital; Inpatient; Outpatient; Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC); Clinic/Private Practice
• Full-scope surgical practice with block OR time and outpatient clinic sessions.
• Collaboration with multiple oral and maxillofacial surgeons and resident trainees.
• Access to modern surgical suites, advanced imaging technology, and industry-standard EMR.
• Trauma coverage at a single hospital site.
• Participation in an accredited residency program with academic opportunities.
