Position Summary
The Dentist provides hands-on dental care and patient education to a broad range of patients. This role includes supervision of clinical staff and oversight of clinic operations, including:
* Approving orders for clinical supplies
* Coordinating equipment maintenance and repair
* Collaborating with the office manager and program director to ensure smooth clinic operations
The Dentist contributes to a collaborative, mission-driven team serving the local community and surrounding areas of Mount Desert Island.

Qualifications
Education & Certification:
* D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree from an accredited institution
* Valid Maine Dental License
* Valid DEA license to prescribe controlled substances
Experience:
* Three years of professional dental practice preferred
* Knowledge of modern dentistry and oral surgery principles
* Experience with dental terminology, procedures, and preventive care
Skills & Abilities:
* Strong clinical judgment and technical proficiency
* Ability to supervise and mentor clinical staff
* Excellent communication and patient education skills
