Job Title: Full-Time Hospital Dentist
Location: Charleston Area Medical Center, Charleston WV
Department: Dentistry / Oral Health Services
Employment Type: Full-Time

Charleston Area Medical Center, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dentistry is seeking a dentist interested in the evaluation and management of medically compromised patients in both the outpatient and inpatient settings with a focus on providing OR based pediatric and high needs patient care; evaluation and clearance of patients prior to organ transplant, cardiothoracic surgery, radiation and chemotherapy; as well as acute care and extractions. New graduates or practicing dentists are welcome to apply.

Schedule:

Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) was established in 1972 and is a nonprofit, 1,138-bed regional tertiary referral center made up of seven hospitals: General Hospital, Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Memorial Hospital, Plateau Medical Center, Teays Valley Hospital, Women and Children’s Hospital, and Charleston Surgical Hospital. In addition to the hospitals, CAMC is comprised of the Institute for Academic Medicine and the CAMC Foundation. Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic, preventive, and therapeutic dental services in accordance with hospital policies and clinical protocols.
Provide dental care to medically compromised patients, including those undergoing cancer treatment, cardiac procedures, or organ transplantation.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and specialists as part of an integrated care team.
Treat dental emergencies and provide on-call coverage as assigned.
Supervise and mentor dental residents or students, if applicable.
Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school.
Active, unrestricted dental license in [State].
Hospital dentistry experience preferred (or completion of a GPR or AEGD program).
BLS and/or ACLS certification.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to delivering patient-centered care in a diverse healthcare setting.
