Locums | Ophthalmology | Houghton, MI (active MI license required)

No call
Preferred two-weeks-on/two-weeks-off schedule
Dedicated surgery and follow-up weeks
Two experienced MAs
Ongoing coverage during permanent recruitment
Assignment Details
Dates: ASAP, as soon as credentialed–ongoing
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.; two weeks on/two weeks off preferred
Coverage structure: First week focused on surgeries/procedures; second week includes follow-ups
Coverage type: Outpatient clinic and surgery; no call
Volume: Minimum four clinic patients per hour; ability to perform 12–14 procedures/surgeries daily
Setting: Busy outpatient practice with three exam rooms; no admissions
Support: Two experienced MAs
EMR: Epic
Credentialing: Approximately 90 days
Clinical Details
Required: Cataract surgery and intravitreal injections
Additional required scope: Anterior segment, glaucoma, and corneal procedures
Required interpretation: A/B-scan ultrasound, ophthalmic photos, fluorescein angiography, and optical coherence tomography
Preferred: Vitreoretinal procedures
No APP supervision or resident teaching required
Requirements
BC in Ophthalmology
Active Michigan medical license
BLS
Active DEA
Ability to meet clinic and surgical productivity expectations
