Description:
Seeking a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist for full-time locum coverage in Superior, Wisconsin. The schedule includes four clinic days and one dedicated procedure day each week, with beeper call and minimal callback. The practice offers comprehensive ophthalmic diagnostic and procedural equipment onsite.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage ophthalmic conditions
See approximately 30+ clinic patients per day
Perform approximately 8+ procedures on designated procedure days
Perform YAG capsulotomy in the office as appropriate
Provide beeper call coverage for unassigned patients
Evaluate urgent ophthalmic cases when needed
Qualifications
Active medical license appropriate for practice in Wisconsin
BLS required
Outpatient ophthalmology experience
Comfortable managing a high-volume clinic
Experience with ophthalmic procedures
Working Hours
Minimum 1 week of coverage at a time
4 days of clinic per week
1 dedicated procedure day per week
Beeper call approximately 1:4
20-minute response time
Minimal callback
