Refractive Surgeon – Advanced Vision Correction & Cataract Specialist
A leading ophthalmology organization is seeking an experienced Refractive Surgeon to join its surgical team.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in refractive surgery, cataract procedures, and advanced vision correction technologies. This physician will provide comprehensive ophthalmic care while performing a variety of surgical procedures tailored to patient needs.
Job Responsibilities
Provide laser vision correction evaluations and surgical care
Perform LASIK, PRK, SMILE, ICL, and premium IOL procedures when applicable
Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
Manage preoperative and postoperative patient care
Monitor surgical outcomes and maintain high-quality clinical standards
Collaborate with ophthalmology team members, technicians, and clinical staff
Maintain accurate EMR documentation
Educate patients regarding surgical options, expectations, risks, and outcomes
Stay current with advances in refractive and cataract technology
Qualifications
Completion of accredited Ophthalmology residency
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
Active Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain one
Strong surgical and clinical ophthalmology skills
Experience in refractive surgery and/or refractive cataract surgery preferred
Experience with premium IOL technology is a plus
Excellent communication and patient-care skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a high-volume surgical environment
