Full Time
Permanent Position
Seeking BC/BE Comprehensive Ophthalmologist with cataract expertise to join established ophthalmology practice in Cooperstown, New York
Position Highlights:
Join established ophthalmology team including:
- 5 Ophthalmologists
- 3 Optometrists
Comprehensive ophthalmology practice with cataract surgery focus
Existing subspecialty support including pediatric ophthalmology, retina, and glaucoma
Well-trained support staff including ophthalmic technicians, LPNs, and RNs
Shared call schedule of 1:5 weekends with low call volume
Limited outreach responsibilities with only one outreach location per physician
Established referral pathways to tertiary ophthalmology specialists
Group-employed practice model
Visa sponsorship available for J-1 and H-1B candidates
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive ophthalmology care
Perform cataract surgery and related procedures
Diagnose and manage ophthalmologic conditions
Collaborate with multidisciplinary eye care team
Participate in shared call coverage
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Qualifications:
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Ophthalmology
Active New York license or ability to obtain
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive compensation range: $433,000 - $525,000 plus productivity incentives
No cap on incentive earnings potential
Sign-on bonus up to $100,000
Residency stipend up to $40,000 available for qualifying candidates
