Job description
The position is based at OU Health University Medical Center, Oklahoma’s only comprehensive academic hospital and Level I trauma center. The role focuses on inpatient ophthalmic care, emergency department consultation, and management of urgent ocular conditions, with close collaboration across trauma, neurology, neurosurgery, internal medicine, and critical care.
This physician will play an important role in delivering timely ophthalmic evaluation and treatment for hospitalized patients while supporting the department’s academic mission through teaching and collaboration with residents, fellows, and medical students. The role offers the opportunity to practice in a high-acuity environment with a diverse and complex patient population, while contributing to a health system committed to advancing patient care, education, and research across the state of Oklahoma.
Candidates will be expected to spend a minimum of 50% of their working hours in the inpatient setting, with the opportunity to develop an outpatient clinical practice with elective surgery if desired.
