Ophthalmologist Opening | Auburn, New York Position Overview:

  • Seeking a skilled and compassionate Ophthalmologist to join our growing practice.
  • The ideal candidate will provide medical and surgical eye care services, diagnose and treat ocular conditions, and deliver exceptional patient-centered care.
General Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments Diagnose and treat ocular diseases and injuries Prescribe medications, corrective lenses, and treatment plans Perform surgical procedures (e.g., cataract surgery, glaucoma procedures, LASIK, etc.) Collaborate with optometrists and other healthcare professionals Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Stay current with advancements in ophthalmology and best practices Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology Residency Program Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology Active medical license in [State] (or eligible for licensure) Strong surgical and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Preferred Qualifications: Fellowship training in subspecialties (e.g., Retina, Cornea, Glaucoma, Pediatric Ophthalmology) Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Multilingual abilities **Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary with productivity incentives Compensation: $425,000.00 - 450,000.00 Health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan with matching contributions CME allowance and paid time off Malpractice insurance coverage Community & Lifestyle: Located in the heart of the Finger Lakes region, Auburn offers a balance of affordability, outdoor recreation, and small-city convenience: Access to lakes, trails, and year-round outdoor activities Vibrant arts, history, and live performance scene Excellent wineries, dining, and family-friendly amenities Reasonable cost of living with easy commutes
