A well-established ophthalmology practice in the Philadelphia market is seeking a Comprehensive Cataract Surgeon to join its high-performing clinical team.
This opportunity is driven by an upcoming retirement and offers immediate access to a high-volume surgical practice, with strong infrastructure and mentorship available. The practice operates within a collaborative MD/OD model and maintains a strong referral network.

Work Schedule
- Full-time outpatient + surgical schedule
- Dedicated OR block time

Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-volume cataract surgeries
- Conduct comprehensive ophthalmic evaluations
- Manage pre- and post-operative care
- Educate patients on surgical options and premium IOLs
- Collaborate with optometrists and clinical staff
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
- Active or eligible Pennsylvania medical license
- Strong cataract surgical experience
Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in cataract surgery and anterior segment care
- Experience with premium IOLs preferred
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent patient communication skills
- Ability to manage high-volume workflows
- Proficiency with EMR systems
