Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Ophthalmologist to join our growing medical group in Clinton, Missouri. Job Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and develop treatment plans for patients
• Perform ophthalmic surgical procedures based on training and subspecialty interest (e.g., cataract surgery, glaucoma procedures, oculoplastics, or other ophthalmic surgeries)
• Utilize advanced diagnostic technology to evaluate and manage ocular disease
• Collaborate with optometrists, primary care providers, and specialists to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic health record
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Provide patient education regarding treatment options, preventive eye care, and long-term vision health
• Participate in professional development activities and maintain licensure and board certification requirements
Qualifications
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Ophthalmology residency program.
Board-certified or board-eligible in Ophthalmology
Eligible for Missouri medical licensure.

• Proficiency in performing comprehensive eye examinations and diagnostic evaluations
• Surgical skills in ophthalmic procedures such as cataract surgery and other ophthalmic surgeries based on training

• Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent patient communication and education skills
