- A $100M, 165,000 sq. ft. standalone Eye Institute is opening in 2026 in Winston-Salem’s Innovation Quarter.
- The four-story facility will house all eye services, surgical suites, research, and clinical trials—supporting 100,000+ patient visits annually.
Highlights
- Full-time academic surgical glaucoma position
- Primarily outpatient clinical and surgical practice
- Weekday schedule with shared call
- Full spectrum glaucoma procedures including MIGS and complex surgery
- Strong support: ophthalmic techs, orthoptists, admin staff, research coordinators
- Significant involvement in resident, fellow, and medical student education
- Four residents per year
- Approved fellowships in Cornea, Retina-Vitreous, Glaucoma, and Pediatrics

TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- MD, DO or MD-DO/PhD
- Board certified or board eligible in ophthalmology
- Completion of fellowship training in medical and surgical glaucoma
- North Carolina unrestricted medical licensure or eligible
