This position offers an excellent opportunity for a board-certified ophthalmologist to join a respected practice. The role includes both surgical and non-surgical responsibilities in a well-equipped setting with established patient flow.
Job Details:
- Locum tenens position for a board-certified ophthalmologist
- Fellowship training is required
- ACLS certification required
- Comprehensive ophthalmology practice encompassing both surgical and non-surgical procedures
- Scope includes anterior and posterior segment procedures
- Experience with laser procedures, including YAG, is preferred
- Cataract surgery expertise needed, including phacoemulsification and various extraction techniques
- Glaucoma management and surgical intervention skills
- Corneal procedure experience desired, including transplants
- Proficiency in refractive surgery such as LASIK and keratectomy
- Vitreo-retinal procedures and intra-ocular injections
- Strabismus surgery and plastic/orbital surgery experience preferred
- Diagnostic skill requirements include ultrasound interpretation (A and B-Scan), photo interpretation, fluorescein angiography, and optical coherence tomography
- Estimated credentialing timeframe is 2 weeks
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
