Locums – Peoria and Pekin, Illinois, Radiation Oncologist Job

Clinical Role:

• Seeking a board-certified radiation oncologist with an active Illinois license

• Must have at least one year of post-training experience

• Reason for need: Ongoing vacancy and PTO coverage

• One provider needed at a time

• Ongoing, as-needed coverage for PTO and scheduling gaps

• Anticipated coverage needs include weeks in November and the first week of April

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

• No call requirements

• Must be willing to travel between three practice locations in Peoria and Pekin, Illinois, as needed

• Clinic-based, team-based practice with inpatient consultations as needed

• Nursing support available

• Approximately 30 patients per day

• Clinical responsibilities include:

  • Managing radiation treatment visits and ongoing patient care

  • Overseeing daily SBRT treatments

  • Assisting with basic radiation treatment planning

  • Supporting inpatient consultations as needed

  • Evaluating and managing radiation-related side effects

  • External beam treatments, on-treatment visits, and follow-ups

  • Onsite supervision for compliance and checking SRS treatments

• ACLS and BLS required

• EMR: Epic
