Locum Radiation Oncologist | Potsdam, NY | No Call | Holiday Coverage

Med Ninjas is seeking a Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist for short-term locum tenens coverage in Potsdam, New York. This clinic-based assignment offers daytime shifts, no call, and two flexible three-day coverage blocks.

Assignment Highlights

• Coverage blocks:
  • Week of December 28, 2026: Three-day stretch
  • Week of January 4, 2027: Three-day stretch
• Tuesday through Thursday preferred, but other three-day options may be considered
• Day shifts: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
• No call required
• No floating
• Adult patient population
• Approximately 10–15 patients per day
• Clinic-based setting
• EMR: Epic
• Support team includes one NP and one LPN
• Travel and lodging assistance available in accordance with assignment guidelines

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and review diagnostic information
• Develop individualized radiation therapy plans
• Deliver and oversee radiation oncology treatment
• Monitor treatment response and adjust plans when clinically appropriate
• Manage treatment-related side effects
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary oncology team
• Provide clear patient counseling and care coordination

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified in Radiation Oncology
• Active New York medical license in hand
• Minimum of two years of recent Radiation Oncology experience
• Active AHA or RQI BLS
• Active AHA or RQI ACLS
• Recent Epic experience required
• Current clinical work history with no unexplained gaps
• Residents and fellows cannot be considered
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
