Radiation Oncology Opening in KS Located in Garden City, KS Bolivar, MO available as well Visa eligible Position Overview Full-time Radiation Oncologist opportunity Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with cancer Clinical and administrative oversight of Radiation Oncology services Work closely with physics, dosimetry, radiation therapy, and other patient care teams Participate in multidisciplinary cancer care and local Tumor Board 100% visa success rate Responsibilities Conduct patient evaluations Direct simulations and provide radiation prescriptions Develop and oversee radiation treatment plans Manage patient treatment and provide appropriate treatment options Provide follow-up and post-treatment care Provide emergency and after-hours care when necessary Follow established NCCN, ACR, ACRO, and other applicable patient care guidelines Collaborate closely with physics and dosimetry staff Monitor treatment plans carried out by radiation therapists Read and interpret radiographic imaging including MRI, CT, ultrasound, sonography, and angiography Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's cancer Maintain documentation in compliance with Medicare guidelines Consult with other patient care services Participate in Tumor Board, chart rounds, quality assurance activities, and other committees Participate in on-call responsibilities Provide coverage for fellow physicians when necessary Provide coverage of the Oral Medication Center when needed Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Board Certified in Radiation Oncology Full state medical licensure required BLS certification Eligible to participate in Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer networks Eligible for hospital privileges at designated facilities Knowledge of applicable FDA health regulations Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills Strong leadership skills Ability to perform necessary mathematical calculations Practice & Technology Modern 30,000-square-foot cancer facility Advanced radiation oncology technology and support services In-house PET/CT simulator TrueBeam STx linear accelerator Access to clinical trials Oncology navigator support Optional private infusion suites Comprehensive multidisciplinary cancer care About Garden City Regional economic and healthcare hub for Southwest Kansas Serves a regional population of approximately 200,000 Diverse community with nearly 40 languages spoken locally Family-friendly community with a relatively low cost of living Excellent access to hunting, fishing, golf, hiking, skiing, and other outdoor recreation Approximately 3.5 hours from the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains Convenient commercial air service to Dallas Local attractions include Lee Richardson Zoo, Buffalo Dunes Golf Course, Parrot Cove Indoor Water Park, and Sandsage Bison Range
