Job description

A cancer center in Beckley, WV needs a radiation oncologist to fill in for a retiring physician, starting 11/2/2026, 1-year contract. Schedule is 3 weeks on/1 week off, or 2 weeks per month, days only, no call. $350/hour, $400/hr OT, $400/hr holiday. Facility recently upgraded and installed an entirely new imaging and radiation package.

Job Responsibilities

See approximately 3 new consults daily. Tuesdays cover all patients receiving radiation, roughly 18-25 total. HDR skill required. Work alongside rad techs, an APP, and an RN. Chart in Cerner.

Qualifications

Board certified required. Active state license completed through an accredited education program, IMLC accepted, licensing support available. DEA required. BLS and ACLS required.

Working Hours

Days only, 8am-4pm, no call. 3 weeks on/1 week off, or 2 weeks per month.

Skills

HDR brachytherapy, external beam radiation therapy, on-treatment visit management, new consult workup.
