Genesis HealthCare System in Zanesville, OH needs a locum radiation oncologist starting 10/26/2026, 4 clinical days per week, 8-hour days, no call. $270/hour. A permanent path is available for the right fit down the line, but this opens as a locum role, not a lead-in requiring a permanent commitment.

Job Responsibilities

See 7-12 follow-up patients or 12-15 active treatment patients per day depending on new consults, add-ons, and urgent visits. One day per week is reserved for on-treatment visits (OTV). Schedule typically runs Monday-Thursday, though it may shift to Tuesday-Friday or expand to 5 days (with a day off the following week) if the other radiation oncologist is out. Fully paperless, filmless department using ARIA RO for treatment and Epic for the hospital record.

Qualifications

Board certified in Radiation Oncology required. Active Ohio license or IMLC. ABLS and BLS required. Credentialing runs approximately 20 days, notably fast for this specialty.

Working Hours

4 clinical days per week, 8-hour days, no call. Monday-Thursday standard, flexible to Tuesday-Friday or a 5-day week with a compensating day off the following week.

Skills

External beam radiation therapy, IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, SRS/SBRT (TrueBeam with Edge SRS package), HDR brachytherapy (Elekta-Nucletron with Oncentra), on-treatment visit management.
