Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, board-certified Therapeutic Medical Physicist for a locum tenens engagement. This role supports a high-volume outpatient radiation oncology program, averaging 60 to 70 patients per day across three regional locations. The patient population is primarily outpatient, with occasional inpatient simulations and symptom-management treatments.
Job Responsibilities
• Quality Assurance: Perform routine machine QA across clinical sites.
• Treatment Planning & Supervision: Oversee HDR treatment planning and operations, and provide clinical supervision for SBRT treatments.
• Chart Review: Complete initial and weekly chart checks to ensure clinical accuracy and safety.
• Documentation: Utilize the Aria EMR system for all clinical records and data tracking.
Qualifications
• Certification: Board Certification by the ABR or ABMP is strictly required.
• Licensure: An active, unrestricted Michigan state license is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience (5+ years preferred).
• Location: Local candidates only. Only mileage is eligible for reimbursement.
• Background: Must have a clean background with no active malpractice claims or licensure issues.
Working Hours
Location: Flint, MI (Coverage across 3 regional outpatient facilities)
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Start Date: As soon as credentialed (Approximately 30 days for NRC/State RAM licensing)
