Job Opportunity: Locum Medical Physicist in Radiation Oncology
Join a dynamic team at a leading outpatient facility specializing in Radiation Therapy in Lansing, Michigan. As a Medical Physicist, you will play an integral role in providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population, mainly consisting of outpatients. The position involves covering multiple locations, ensuring high standards of therapeutic practices and patient safety.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct chart checks including initial and weekly assessments.
- Perform machine quality assurance (QA) checks.
- Oversee High Dose Rate (HDR) treatment planning and operational procedures.
- Supervise Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) treatments.
- Document procedures and patient data using the Aria EMR system.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified by ABR or ABMP (required).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Medical Physics, with a preference for 5 years or more.
- Clean background without malpractice or license issues.
- Local candidates preferred; only mileage to be reimbursed.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP).
