We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Radiation Oncologist for a full-time locum tenens opportunity in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. This position offers a consistent Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no call, providing an excellent work-life balance.
The physician will provide comprehensive radiation oncology services for adult patients, including clinic visits, occasional inpatient consultations, tumor board participation, and chart rounds.
Job Responsibilities
• Evaluate and develop individualized radiation treatment plans
• Manage adult oncology patients throughout their treatment
• Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary cancer care
• Perform chart rounds and treatment reviews
• Provide occasional inpatient consultations
• Participate in normal radiation oncology clinic operations
• Perform and manage appropriate radiation oncology procedures, including lung SBRT
• Collaborate with oncology, hematology, palliative care, nursing, and radiation therapy teams
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EPIC
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology
• Active Pennsylvania medical license required
• IMLC LOQ may be accepted
• DEA required
• Minimum 1 year of radiation oncology experience
• Clean credentialing file preferred for temporary privileges
• Strong clinical and communication skills
Working Hours
• Full-time coverage required
• No call
• Adult patient population
• Average treatment volume: approximately 14 patients/day
• Approximately 8 consultations/week
• Approximately 20 follow-ups/week
