Join a well-established cancer center in Sacramento, California for a rewarding locum tenens Radiation Oncology assignment. This is an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive cancer care with the potential to extend beyond the initial contract.
Assignment Highlights

- Monday–Friday schedule (8a-5p M-F))

Job Responsibilities
Oversee simulation, treatment planning, and dosimetry.
Verify treatment accuracy and ensure quality assurance throughout the treatment process.
Manage patients during radiation therapy with weekly evaluations.
Provide follow-up care and long-term treatment management.
Collaborate with physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, and multidisciplinary oncology teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology (ABR or equivalent)
Active California medical license required
Current DEA (if applicable)
Previous Radiation Oncology experience preferred.
Working Hours
8:00am - 5:00pm

Therapeutic simulation
Isodose-plan development
Dosimetric treatment planning and plan approval
Pretreatment quality assurance and plan verification
Verification and documentation of treatment delivery
Ongoing treatment management and assessment of patient response
Weekly patient management and follow-up care
Direct, face-to-face management of radiation oncology patients
Collaboration with the clinical team and radiation safety committee
