Ikeema with Aequor Healthcare is seeking a Radiation Oncologist for an ongoing locum opportunity in Galesburg, IL.
Coverage Needed:
- July through October 2
- Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- No call, weekends, or holidays
Requirements:
- Active Illinois license or IMLC
Practice Details:
- Outpatient Radiation Oncology clinic
- 25–30 patients under treatment per day
- External Beam Radiation Therapy
- On-Treatment Visits (OTVs)
- Follow-up visits and consultations
Responsibilities:
- On-site supervision for regulatory compliance
- Review and approval of SRS cases
- On-treatment patient evaluations
- Follow-up care and consultations

Job Responsibilities
Perform new patient consultations and develop individualized radiation treatment plans.
Oversee and manage patients receiving External Beam Radiation Therapy.
Conduct On-Treatment Visits (OTVs) to assess patient progress, manage side effects, and adjust treatment as needed.
Provide follow-up care and survivorship visits after treatment completion.
Review imaging, pathology, and clinical documentation to support treatment decisions.
Provide on-site physician supervision to ensure compliance with radiation safety and regulatory requirements.
Review and approve Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) treatment plans and quality checks.
Collaborate with radiation therapists, dosimetrists, medical physicists, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary oncology team.
Document patient encounters and treatment decisions in the EMR.
Maintain continuity of care in an outpatient clinic setting.
Qualifications
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
No call
No weekends
No holidays
Approximately 25–30 patients under treatment per day
Active Illinois license or IMLC required - Will license you
