Locums | Hematology/Oncology | Greenville, SC (active SC license required)
Why This Role
Defined November–January assignment
Separate outpatient and inpatient coverage days
Team of 7 physicians and 6 APPs
Emergency temporary privileges may be available
Assignment Details
Dates: November 2–January 29; years to be confirmed
Clinic hours: 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Availability: Specify ability to cover 2–4 weeks per month
Coverage: Outpatient clinic and required inpatient service
Call: Rotation to be confirmed; narrative includes weekend and weeklong call
Weekend call hours: Friday 4:30 p.m.–Monday 8 a.m.
Volume: Approximately 25 outpatient patients daily or 20 hospital patients during call/rounding
Outpatient and inpatient services are covered on separate days
Setting: Free-standing cancer center and inpatient hospital service
Population: Adults and geriatric patients
Support: 7 physicians, 6 APPs, and oncology nursing
EMR: Epic
Credentialing: Approximately 60 days
Clinical Details
Case mix: 65% benign hematology and 35% malignant oncology
Inpatient participation required
Tumor board participation
Bone marrow transplant management and blood bank responsibilities
Order tests and imaging; prescribe treatment
Chemotherapy administered by oncology nursing
Requirements
Board certification in Hematology and Oncology required
Active South Carolina license required
Current BLS
Active DEA
Willingness to provide inpatient coverage
