Locums | Hematology/Oncology | Greenville, SC (Active SC License Required) Why This Role

  • Defined coverage from November 2, 2026‚ÄìJanuary 29, 2027
  • Established cancer program with seven physicians and six APPs
  • Epic EMR
  • Providers may offer 2‚Äì4 weeks per month
  • Separate outpatient and inpatient service days
Assignment Details Setting: Free-standing cancer center with inpatient hospital coverage Patient population: Adult and geriatric Clinic hours: 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Outpatient volume: Approximately 25 patients per day Inpatient/call volume: Approximately 20 patients per day Providers will not cover outpatient and inpatient services on the same day Patient mix: 65% benign hematology and 35% malignant oncology Call Weekend rotation listed as Friday at 4:30 p.m. through Monday at 8:00 a.m. Weekend frequency listed as approximately every fifth or sixth weekend A separate source field states no call or weekends; final expectations will need facility confirmation Clinical Responsibilities Outpatient oncology and hematology care Inpatient coverage and rounding Tumor board participation Bone marrow transplant management Blood bank oversight Ordering diagnostic testing and imaging Prescribing treatment Chemotherapy administered by oncology nursing staff Requirements Board certified in Hematology and Oncology Active South Carolina license Active DEA Current BLS Ability to provide 2–4 weeks per month Willingness to participate in inpatient coverage Must disclose any previous work history with the health system Clean background required for emergency temporary privileges Credentialing Approximately 60 days
