Clinical Role RecruitWell is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Oncologist for locums coverage in Potsdam, New York. This is primarily an outpatient Oncology role with only occasional inpatient consults. The practice is currently growing, so the ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in an evolving clinical environment.

Assignment Details

• Start date: December 28, 2026

• Assignment duration: 13 weeks

• Holiday coverage needed the week of December 28, 2026

• Initial holiday coverage consists of 4 days

• Additional sporadic vacation coverage may be available in the future

• Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• 1-hour blocked lunch

• Outpatient clinic setting

• Occasional inpatient consults

Position Highlights

• Medical Oncology opportunity

• Primarily outpatient care

• Approximately 18–20 patients per day

• 15 treatment chairs

• Additional future vacation coverage possible

• Epic EMR

• AI-assisted charting available

• Growing Oncology program

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage Medical Oncology patients

• Provide routine outpatient Oncology care

• Develop and manage treatment plans

• Perform occasional inpatient consultations as needed

• Collaborate with APP and clinical support staff

• Complete required clinical documentation

• Adapt to the needs of a growing Oncology program

Treatment & Clinical Scope

• Chemotherapy

• Immunotherapy

• Targeted therapy

• Hormone therapy

Support & Technology

• 1 physician

• 1 Nurse Practitioner

• 3 CNA/CMAs

• 15 treatment chairs

• EMR: Epic

• AI-assisted charting available

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology required

• Active New York medical license required

• Minimum 5 years of experience required

• Must be flexible and adaptable in a growing clinical program

Organization & Team

• Outpatient Medical Oncology practice

• Occasional inpatient consultation responsibilities

• Collaborative physician, NP, and clinical support team

• Program currently undergoing growth and development
