Medical Oncologist – Locum Tenens | Pennsylvania | Full-Time + Call

Keemi with Aequor Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified Medical Oncologist for an ongoing locum opportunity in Pennsylvania. This is a great opportunity for a provider looking for consistent coverage with a strong clinical team and APP support.

Position Details:

  • Specialty: Medical Oncology

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

  • Coverage: 5 days/week + 1:3 call

  • Minimum availability: 2 weeks per month

  • Duration: Full-time, ongoing coverage for up to 1 year

  • Patient volume: Approximately 15 outpatients per day

  • APP supervision required

  • Call: Provider will cover the entire assigned week via phone and provide in-person hospital Hem/Onc consults as needed

  • 30-minute unpaid lunch

  • Level II Trauma facility

  • Full privileges available

Requirements:

  • Board Certified in Medical Oncology – REQUIRED

  • Minimum 1 year of experience

  • DEA required

  • CSR required

  • Pennsylvania license highly preferred

  • No PA license? We will consider providers needing licensure or those with IMLC eligibility/in hand

  • Must be able to participate in call in addition to regular clinic shifts

  • Must be available for ongoing coverage

Travel: Local or drive-in candidates are highly preferred. Facility will cover up to one flight per month.

Job Responsibilities

Provide Medical Oncology care in an outpatient clinic setting.
Manage approximately 15 patients per day, including evaluations, treatment planning, and follow-up care.
Diagnose and manage patients with various oncologic conditions.
Review labs, imaging, treatment responses, and adjust care plans as clinically appropriate.
Provide supervision and clinical support to APPs.
Participate in 1:3 call coverage, including phone coverage for the assigned week.
Provide in-person Hematology/Oncology hospital consultations while on call.
Coordinate patient care with APPs, nursing staff, specialists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
Provide ongoing coverage Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, in addition to assigned call responsibilities.

Qualifications

Board Certified in Medical Oncology – Required
Minimum 1 year of Medical Oncology experience
Active DEA – Required
CSR license – Required
Active Pennsylvania medical license highly preferred
Providers needing a PA license may be considered; IMLC candidates are welcome
Must be comfortable providing outpatient Medical Oncology care
Must be able to supervise APPs
Must be able to participate in 1:3 call coverage, including phone call and in-person hospital Hem/Onc consults
Must have a minimum availability of 2 weeks per month
Must be available for ongoing coverage, ideally up to one year
Local or drive-in candidates are highly preferred

Working Hours

The working hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

The provider will also participate in 1:3 call coverage, covering the assigned week by phone and providing in-person hospital Hematology/Oncology consults as needed.
