Locums | Hematology/Oncology | Redding, CA (Active California License Required) Why This Role An experienced hematologist/oncologist is needed to provide outpatient clinic and infusion-center coverage, along with hospital consultations and remote call. The physician will serve as the onsite medical provider for chemotherapy and infusion treatments. Coverage Dates

  • November 16‚Äì25, 2026
  • November 30‚ÄìDecember 3, 2026
  • December 28‚Äì31, 2026
  • Ongoing coverage beginning January 2027
  • Candidates must provide specific 2027 availability when presented
Schedule / Call Clinic: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Weeknight call: Monday–Thursday, 5 p.m.–8 a.m. Weekend remote call: Friday at 5 p.m.–Monday at 8 a.m. The clinic is closed January 1 Assignment Details Outpatient hematology/oncology clinic and infusion center Hospital consultations required Approximately 15–20 patients per day Broad hematology/oncology caseload covering all tumor types Physician serves as the solo onsite hematologist/oncologist ER physicians and hospitalists manage admissions in collaboration with the locum EMR: iKnowMed for clinic and Cerner for infusion services Clinical Scope Diagnosis and staging Precision-medicine planning Symptom management Hematology and oncology treatment Oversight of chemotherapy and infusion services Chemotherapy and immunotherapy Blood and platelet transfusions Hormone and antibiotic therapy Rheumatoid arthritis injections Therapeutic phlebotomy Hospital consultations and remote call Support One advanced practice provider One clinic RN Ten infusion RNs Two medical assistants Two front-office staff Quality and billing support Requirements Board-certified or truly board-eligible in Hematology/Oncology Hematology/Oncology fellowship required Active California medical license Active DEA registration Must be clinically active ACLS required if requesting moderate-sedation privileges PALS required only if treating pediatric patients Exact availability required with presentation Credentialing Estimated timeframe: Approximately 30–60 days
