Job description
We are seeking a Medical Oncology physician for a locum tenens position in Minneapolis, MN. This is an inpatient-focused opportunity to lead medical oncology and hematology consultation and management services at a 590-bed facility. The assignment offers week-at-a-time block scheduling with flexibility and optional outpatient opportunities. The facility utilizes Epic EMR. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage inpatient medical oncology and hematology consultations
• Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care across malignant and benign conditions
• Supervise and mentor advanced practice providers
• Direct inpatient medical oncology team
Qualifications
• State Medical License: Minnesota (IMLC Accepted)
• DEA Registration
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• Epic EMR proficiency (required)
Working Hours
• Assignment blocks: Monday 8:00 AM – following Monday 8:00 AM (week-long, flexible)
• Office hours (M–F): 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Overnight call: From home, medical oncology-specific calls only
• Patient volume: 20–25 patients per day; average daily inpatient census 30–40
• Optional outpatient schedule available: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, no call
