Job description
We are seeking a Medical Oncologist for a locum tenens position in Minneapolis, MN. This 590-bed hospital system offers both inpatient and outpatient medical oncology and hematology coverage opportunities. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise advanced practice providers on the inpatient service
Manage inpatient malignant medical oncology patients and benign hematology cases
Handle all ranges of hematology consults
Provide same-day documentation for inpatient service
Cover overnight call from home (medical oncology-specific calls only)
See approximately 20-25 patients per day
Qualifications
Minnesota medical license required (IMLC Accepted)
DEA registration required
BLS or ACLS certification required
Epic EMR proficiency required
Working Hours
Overnight call from home: Monday 8:00 AM to following Monday 8:00 AM (one week at a time, flexible)
Weekend call included
Outpatient coverage available (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, no call required for outpatient)
