Division Chief – Cancer Institute Leadership Opportunity
A leading academic-affiliated healthcare system in Southwest Ohio is seeking an accomplished physician leader to serve as Division Chief within its Cancer Institute. This individual will play a key role in advancing clinical care, medical education, research initiatives, and physician engagement across a growing oncology platform.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in academic medicine, strategic leadership, and operational collaboration, with the ability to foster innovation and strengthen multidisciplinary partnerships throughout the organization.
Position Highlights
• Provide visionary leadership for clinical, academic, and research initiatives within the Cancer Institute
• Collaborate closely with institute leadership, department chairs, and academic partners to support educational and scholarly activity
• Lead physician workforce development, including recruitment, retention, mentorship, and oversight of section chiefs
• Promote excellence in patient care, provider engagement, quality improvement, and operational efficiency
• Support development of structured teaching programs for medical students, residents, fellows, and advanced learners
• Partner with operational leadership on budgeting, financial stewardship, productivity initiatives, and practice optimization
• Foster a collaborative culture among physicians, APPs, staff, and institutional stakeholders
• Strengthen relationships with referring physicians and community partners to support continuity of care
• Oversee call coverage processes and support clinical integration across the continuum of care
• Champion provider accountability, performance improvement, and patient experience initiatives
Qualifications
• MD or DO required
• Board Certification in specialty area required
• Active medical license required
• Minimum of 3–5 years of leadership experience preferred
• Strong background in academic medicine, physician leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration preferred
