The OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center seeks a Medical Oncologist for a community/academic hybrid faculty position focused on solid tumor oncology, including specialties such as Breast, Genitourinary, Thoracic, Gastroenterology, Sarcoma, and Melanoma. This role spans patient care, teaching, and research. Academic rank is commensurate with experience. Possible tracks include Clinician, Clinician-Educator, and Clinician-Scientist.
Assistant Professors and Associate Professors in clinical pathways participate in the training of medical students, residents and fellows in Hematology and Oncology. ln addition, they participate in undergraduate courses as part of the medical school curriculum, precept students as they learn physical diagnosis skills and supervise students when assigned to clinical settings.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide comprehensive solid tumor oncology care for patients at the Stephenson Cancer Center
- Develop individualized treatment plans including chemotherapy, immunotherapy,
- supportive oncology care, and hematologic management
- Collaborate with radiation oncology, infusion services, advanced practice providers, oncology-certified nurses, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary specialists
- Supervise medical residents and fellows in clinical settings
- Participate in tumor boards and maintain alignment with evidence-based cancer care pathways across the Stephenson Cancer Center system
- Participate in formal didactic sessions including medical grand rounds, resident, and fellow conferences
- Attend on the inpatient oncology service and in the fellow’s teaching clinic
- Develop scholarly activities by participating in sectional research and other scholarly activities
Required Qualifications:
- MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology
- Eligible for medical licensure and DEA registration in the State of Oklahoma
- Academic credentials commensurate with the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1- 3 years of physician experience in solid tumor oncology
