Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking an experienced Medical Director / Physician Leader to help shape the future of a nationally aligned, research-driven oncology program.

The Opportunity

As Medical Director, you will serve in a dyad leadership model alongside the Vice President of Operations, guiding the clinical vision and strategic direction of Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center.

You will play a key role in:

  • Advancing a multidisciplinary, evidence-based oncology program

  • Aligning care delivery with MD Anderson protocols and standards

  • Driving clinical excellence, quality outcomes, and patient experience

  • Expanding research initiatives and clinical trial access

  • Supporting physician leadership, recruitment, and development

  • Leveraging technology, analytics, and innovation to enhance care delivery

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the clinical strategy and vision for the cancer center

  • Oversee physician performance, disease-site programs, and care models

  • Implement clinical pathways, quality metrics, and outcomes reporting

  • Foster multidisciplinary collaboration across oncology specialties

  • Partner on growth strategy, operations, and financial performance

  • Expand clinical research participation and infrastructure

  • Support physician recruitment, onboarding, and leadership development

Qualifications

  • MD or DO

  • Board Certified in Oncology or related specialty

  • 10+ years of leadership experience (e.g., Medical Director, Division Chief, Program Director)

  • Proven ability to lead physician teams and drive clinical outcomes

  • Strong strategic, collaborative, and communication skills

  • Eligible for Florida Medical License & DEA
