Facility:
This well-established medical center features a comprehensive oncology and hematology program with both outpatient clinic and infusion services. The facility is equipped with advanced technology including iKnowmed and Cerner EMR systems and maintains a robust support team of nursing staff, medical assistants, and administrative personnel to ensure optimal patient care.
Opportunity:
Physician - Oncology
Job Details:
• Provide comprehensive outpatient chemotherapy and infusion services as solo provider with midlevel support
• Handle all aspects of diagnosis, staging, precision medicine, symptom management, and treatment of hematology/oncology patients
• Oversee both oncology/hematology clinic and infusion services with required onsite presence during treatments
• Manage 15-20 patients per day treating all tumor types
• Provide infusion center services including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood/platelet transfusions, hormone therapy, antibiotic therapy, rheumatoid arthritis injections, and therapeutic phlebotomies
• Handle hospital consults with call responsibilities, working directly with ER physicians or hospitalists for admissions
• Work Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm schedule
• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology and Hematology
• Active California medical license required
• Fellowship training required
• DEA registration required
• ACLS certification required if requesting moderate sedation privileges
• Self-Query NPDB report mandatory within 30 days of presentation
• Credentialing timeframe 30-60 days
• Work with dedicated support team including clinic RN, medical assistants, front office staff, quality analyst, and infusion RNs
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
