Job Details

• Location: Peoria, Illinois
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
• Practice Setting: New Medical Oncology Practice
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Duration: 13+ weeks (minimum three weeks availability required)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $14,690–$15,750
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-10 hour day shifts (starting at 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• No weekend coverage required
• Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support
• PRN Medical Oncologist on-site one week per month

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Medical Oncology
• Active and unrestricted medical license (Illinois preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical Oncology
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Dedication to providing consistent, high-quality patient care

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care, including oncology consultations, admissions, and follow-up visits
• Perform hospital rounding as needed
• Work closely with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) for consults, follow-ups, orders, and patient management
• Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary cancer care team
• Provide coverage when the PRN Medical Oncologist is not on-site
