Facility:
This comprehensive cancer center is part of an established healthcare system featuring multiple accreditations including ACR, ACoS, HFAP, NSABP with the Breast Center, and QOPI Certification with Medical Oncology. The facility operates with advanced technology in a completely paperless and filmless environment.
Opportunity:
Physician - Radiation Oncology
Job Details:
• Work 3 days per week for the December block (dates slightly flexible)
• Practice in a fully accredited radiation oncology department with comprehensive support staff
• Utilize state-of-the-art equipment including Siemens SomaTom CT Simulator (2015), Varian TrueBeam with CBCT & VMAT, The Edge SRS Package with Vision RT/OSMS (2015), Varian Trilogy with CBCT & VMAT (2015), and Elekta-Nucletron HDR with Oncentra
• Board certification required with active Ohio medical license
• Perform intracavitary brachytherapy procedures
• Operate Linear Accelerator including Rapid Arc/VMAT and Electrons
• Implement various radiation therapy techniques including Conventional/Conformal Therapy, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, and SRS
• Conduct treatment planning including conventional planning, beam shaping, 3D CRT, IMRT, PET CT or MRI Image Fusion, and Electronic Portal Imaging
• Participate in clinical trials
• Work with comprehensive support including research staff, nurse navigators, in-house pharmacy, palliative care, spiritual care, financial counselors, and medical nutritional treatment
• ABLS and BLS certifications required
• Join a team of 1.6 radiation oncologists (0.6 vacancy), 1.6 FT RN (OCN), physicists, dosimetrists, and radiation therapists
• Utilize EPIC EMR and ARIA RO Treatment EMR systems
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
