Facility:
This healthcare facility is a comprehensive cancer treatment center equipped with state-of-the-art radiation oncology technology. The center features a 3-bed department and serves an average of 15 patients per day, providing advanced radiation therapy services to the community.
Opportunity:
Physician - Radiation Oncology
Job Details:
• Monday through Friday schedule with consistent hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Average of 12 patient encounters per shift
• Work with advanced equipment including Elekta Versa HD Linear Accelerator, GE Discovery RT Sim, Monoco Treatment Planning System, and MIMS Contouring Station
• Perform SBRT, VMAT, and conventional radiation treatments
• Must be proficient with Linear Accelerator including Rapid Arc/VMAT and Electrons
• Required techniques include Conventional/Conformal Therapy, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, and SRS
• Experience with treatment planning including conventional treatment planning, beam shaping (MLC), 3D CRT, IMRT, PET CT or MRI Image Fusion, and Electronic Portal Imaging (EPI)
• Board certification eligible with minimum fellowship requirements
• Must be licensed in Virginia
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 30 days
• Lodging recommendations available at Holiday Inn Express, Claypool Hill, VA
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
