A growing cancer program in Central Connecticut is seeking a BC/BE Breast Medical Oncologist to join an established team of four breast medical oncologists.

Position Highlights:

  • Join 4 breast medical oncologists
  • High-volume breast service with 600+ new breast cancer cases annually
  • Multidisciplinary team of fellowship-trained breast surgeons, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists
  • Dedicated breast tumor board meets weekly
  • Strong support from fellowship-trained pathologists and radiologists
  • Access to reconstructive surgery, genetic counseling, and nurse navigation
  • Developing survivorship, high-risk care, patient education, and breast rehabilitation programs
  • Active clinical trials and health disparities research
  • Main member of SWOG and NRG
  • Partnership with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
  • Opportunities for teaching, clinical research, and quality/outcomes research
  • Hospitalist teams manage inpatient care, with medical oncology providing consultations

Qualifications:

  • BC/BE in Hematology & Oncology
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine
  • Demonstrated experience working within a multidisciplinary breast care model
  • Academic accomplishments in clinical trials or quality improvement highly desirable
  • Connecticut medical licensure or eligibility
