Job Description

A Moscow, Idaho based client is seeking an excellent Medical Oncology Physician to provide care to patients of all ages in a hospital and community health center. An ideal candidate is a versatile and collaborative Physician who values providing equitable care to all populations.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
  • Current ID state medical license
  • Completed an accredited residency program
  • Current DEA certificate
  • Board certified or eligible
  • Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized treatment plans based on the patient's condition, stage of cancer, and other relevant factors.
  • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy, and other advanced cancer treatments as appropriate, while closely monitoring the patient's response and adjusting treatment regimens accordingly.
  • Provide compassionate care, support, and guidance to patients and their families throughout the entire treatment process, addressing their concerns, explaining treatment options, and discussing prognosis in a clear and empathetic manner.
  • Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including surgeons, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, nurses, and other specialists, to develop comprehensive treatment plans, discuss complex cases, and ensure coordinated care.
  • Serve as a strong advocate for patients, promoting their rights, ensuring access to quality care, and addressing ethical considerations related to cancer treatment and end-of-life care.
