Job description

Job description A hospital in the Fargo, ND area needs an OB/GYN laborist for call-only coverage starting as soon as credentialing is complete and running through September 2027. Pay is $250.25 per hour, and travel is covered. The schedule is 3-4 twenty-four hour shifts a month, weekdays preferred, with 24 hours off between shifts. On call, you stay at the hotel until you are called in. About 120 deliveries a month, and physicians do roughly 65% of them.

Job Responsibilities

Provide OB/GYN laborist coverage including deliveries, VBACs, and C-sections, admissions, and L&D triage. Work collaboratively with the midwives. 16 labor, delivery, and postpartum rooms and 1 dedicated OB OR.

Qualifications

Board Certified in OB/GYN (ABMS or AOA). Active ND license or IMLC with a current Letter of Qualification in hand (not expired). Temporary privileges are available.

Working Hours

3-4 twenty-four hour shifts a month, weekdays preferred, 24 hours off between shifts. Open shifts: November 20 and 23-29; December 3, 8, 14, and 23-31; January 1-3, then ongoing. You must be able to work at least half of the open shifts, and the schedule may be rearranged to make travel worthwhile for single dates.

Skills

Comfortable working with a midwife and doing VBACs and C-sections. Epic EMR strongly preferred. Level II trauma, stroke certified, inpatient setting.
