A hospital in the Modesto, California area needs an OB/GYN laborist for ongoing, call-only coverage. $200 an hour, which comes to about $4,800 for a 24-hour in-house shift. Start as soon as credentialing clears, with availability in December and moving forward. Travel and lodging are covered.

Job Responsibilities

Laborist coverage on 24-hour in-house shifts, with about 10 to 15 patients per shift and admissions required. The department has 3 beds. This is call-only coverage with no clinic duties. Cerner EMR, in a stroke-certified hospital.

Qualifications

Active California license, required, with no compact option. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology or in the laborist subspecialty. BLS and PALS. You must be able to provide 100 case logs right away. Credentialing takes about 30 to 60 days, and temporary privileges are not available, so apply early. Hospital policy requires hospital-issued scrubs while on duty and natural nails only, with no wraps, acrylics, extenders, overlays, gels, tips, or anything glued to or pierced through the nail.

Working Hours

24-hour in-house call shifts, ongoing. Start as soon as credentialing is complete.
