Rates: $5000+/day

Opportunity Highlights

• Start Date: ASAP (Multiple dates available through June).

• Schedule: 24-hour in-house shifts (Flexible scheduling from 24–96 hours).

• Monthly Volume: Approximately 4 shifts per month.

• Teaching Environment: Active residency program and medical student rotations; providers are expected to educate and mentor staff and residents.

• Support: 24/7 Pediatric Hospitalists, NICU nurses, and 1:1 Nursing support.

• EMR: EPIC.

Clinical Responsibilities

The Hospitalist is responsible for overseeing the L&D unit and responding to urgent needs throughout the facility.

• Obstetrics: Management of high and low-risk evaluations, triage, vaginal deliveries, and Cesarean sections.

• Gynecology: Urgent gynecological consultations and emergency surgeries.

• Collaboration: Assisting peers with complex surgical cases and supervising Advanced Practice Providers (ARNPs, PAs, and Midwives).

Provider Requirements

• Education: Fellowship Trained in Obstetrics & Gynecology (Required).

• Board Status: Board Certified in OB/GYN (Required).

• Licensure: Active Iowa (IA) Medical License (Required).

• Compliance: Clean malpractice and background history. A current NPDB (pulled within the month) must be provided at the time of presentation.

• Coverage: Candidates must be able to cover a portion of the specific dates listed for March, April, May, and June.

Available Dates for Coverage (2026)

• March: 22–24, 25–27, 30 (Day shift).

• April: 22 (Day shift), 23–24.

• May: 3–4, 5–9 (3-day max), 13 (Day shift), 17–21, 24–25.

• June: 4–5, 8–9, 10–11, 19–21.
