OB/GYN Physician Opening in La Porte, IN (50/50 mix, 1:3 call, da Vinci Xi, income guarantee)
- Located in La Porte, IN; Chicago 75m
Overview
* The medical group is seeking a full time OB/GYN physician to join a hospital employed team in La Porte
* Clinic is attached to the hospital, with a team of 2 OB/GYNs, 3 CNMs and 2 NPs and mentorship from two established physicians
* 50/50 OB/GYN practice mix with 3 clinic days and 2 OR days per week, about 20 to 30 patients per day
* About 600 deliveries per year, with dedicated C-section ORs on the OB floor and guaranteed block OR time
* 1:3 call rotation supported by 3 CNMs who cover their own panels, with 1 administrative day off post call and additional call compensation
* da Vinci Xi robotic system, Cerner EMR, and a Level II NICU with Level III care within 30 minutes
Qualifications
* MD or DO, board certified or board eligible in OB/GYN
* Eligible for Indiana medical licensure
* Robotics training preferred (training available), and new graduates and early career physicians are welcome
Compensation & Benefits
* Base salary with RVU based bonus structure
* Income guarantee of 18 to 24 months
* Commencement bonus, relocation assistance and student loan repayment
* PTO of 4 weeks and a CME allowance of $4,500
Hospital:
Nestled in a bedroom community approximately 15 miles from the southern shore of Lake Michigan, the hospital is 60 miles from Chicago and surrounded by inland lakes and parks and is the anchor business of the historic downtown area. The hospital provides exceptional acute care with strong programs in Cardiology, Orthopedics, Surgical services, Emergency care, and Maternal Health with multiple nationally recognized awards, recognitions and certifications. The network is comprised of more than 75 providers and provides a strong primary care and sub-specialty platform. The hospital will break ground on a new hospital in 2018 with a targeted 2020 opening!
Location:
The La Porte community specifically has small town charm with a easy access to everything. There are multiple lakes within minutes of the downtown area which are conducive to boating/skiing, as well as quieter no wake lakes which are great for fishing and sailing. Additionally, the surrounding communities of Valparaiso and Chesterton are also great places to live and are within a 30 to 40 minute drive if you chose to make that short commute.
