Flexible 24-Hour Shifts
Compensation: $195,000 Base Salary | Additional Shifts Available
An established, nonprofit regional healthcare system in Findlay, Ohio is seeking an OB/GYN Hospitalist to join its growing Women's Health team. This opportunity offers a flexible schedule consisting of four 24-hour shifts per block, with additional shifts available for physicians interested in increasing their earnings. The incoming physician will provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric care, perform scheduled C-sections, and support gynecologic consultations and procedures. With approximately 1,200 annual deliveries, 24/7 pediatric hospitalist coverage, and optional outpatient clinic opportunities, this position provides an attractive combination of clinical variety, flexibility, and work-life balance.

Midwife oversight and collaboration

24/7 in-house Pediatric Hospitalist coverage
Level II Special Care Nursery supporting newborns at 32+ weeks
Remote participation in high-risk obstetric meetings
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care
Manage unassigned obstetric patients presenting through the Emergency Department
Perform scheduled Cesarean sections
Evaluate and manage gynecologic consultations
Coordinate maternal transfers when clinically appropriate
Collaborate with and provide oversight for Certified Nurse Midwives
Perform non-emergent gynecologic procedures with surgical team support
Participate in high-risk obstetric case discussions
Work collaboratively with nursing, anesthesia, pediatric, and surgical teams
Support safe, high-quality maternal and newborn care
Schedule & Practice Environment
24-hour hospitalist shifts
Four shifts per scheduling block
Additional shifts available
Optional outpatient clinic work
One primary delivering hospital
Dedicated sleep room within the unit
Approximately 1,200 deliveries annually
Remote participation in high-risk meetings
Collaborative Women's Health practice environment
Hospital & Clinical Resources
Established regional Women's Health program
Level II Special Care Nursery for infants born at 32+ weeks
24/7 in-house Pediatric Hospitalist coverage
Experienced labor and delivery nursing staff
Surgical team support for gynecologic procedures
Collaborative Certified Nurse Midwife team

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $195,000 for four shifts per block
Additional shifts available
PRN compensation: $156 per hour
$2,850 annual CME and board certification allowance

Qualifications
MD or DO
Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Current or eligible Ohio medical license
Experience providing comprehensive inpatient obstetric care
Ability to perform Cesarean sections and manage obstetric emergencies
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Comfortable collaborating with Certified Nurse Midwives and multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to patient safety and high-quality maternal care
