Locum OB/GYN Call-Only needed in NC!

Board-certified or board-eligible Obstetrics & Gynecology physician needed for ongoing locum tenens call coverage to support a facility during a long-term vacancy. The role includes inpatient and outpatient responsibilities - hospital coverage, patient evaluations, admissions, and rounding - while a permanent provider search continues.

Assignment details

• Call-only coverage
• Start date: December 18, 2026
• Holiday coverage: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas
• EMR: McKesson and Athena

Clinical responsibilities

• Provide OB/GYN call coverage for inpatient and outpatient services
• Evaluate and manage obstetric and gynecologic patients
• Perform hospital rounding and patient assessments
• Admit and manage hospitalized patients; coordinate treatment plans
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other clinicians to ensure high-quality care

Facility & patient volume

• Practice settings: inpatient and outpatient
• Department beds: 11
• Average patients per shift: 4-6
• Rounding: inpatient and outpatient
• Admissions required
• Hospital privileges required (temporary privileges available)
• Hospital is stroke-certified

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in OB/GYN
• Active North Carolina medical license or eligibility to obtain one
• Ability to obtain hospital privileges
• Experience managing both inpatient and outpatient OB/GYN care
• Comfortable with call coverage, rounding, and admissions
