Description
Noor Locums is seeking a board-certified OB/GYN physician for an urgent locum tenens opportunity in Petersburg, Virginia, with potential for ongoing coverage.
This opportunity combines 24-hour hospital call coverage with scheduled clinic responsibilities. Physicians should be comfortable managing deliveries and performing a range of essential OB/GYN procedures in a hospital setting.

Opportunity Highlights

Established physician team with hospitalist and nursing support
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage obstetric and gynecologic patients
Perform cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries
Perform suction D&C procedures
Manage ectopic pregnancies, ovarian torsion, and abnormal uterine bleeding
Provide scheduled outpatient clinic care
Coordinate patient care with the OB hospitalist, nursing team, and other specialists
Document patient encounters using Epic EMR
Qualifications
Active Virginia medical license
Active Virginia DEA and CSR
ABOG certification
BLS and ACLS certifications
Must be comfortable providing 24-hour call coverage
Must demonstrate recent delivery experience, including at least 50 deliveries and 15 cesarean sections within the last 12 months
Must be able to provide procedure logs
Working Hours
Clinic: Approximately 20 scheduled patients
Upcoming Dates: December 17–24 and December 31, 2026
Weekend Coverage: Required
Call Ratio: Approximately 1:4
